Our Story
About The Rudd
The Rudd is Ruddington’s official village community magazine, created to celebrate the people, places, and stories that make our parish such a vibrant and connected community.

Published monthly in partnership with Ruddington Parish Council, The Rudd brings together local news, council updates, and features that showcase the heart of village life. At its centre sit the Parish Council’s pages, dedicated to sharing important information, announcements, and decisions that affect everyone who calls Ruddington home.

The magazine is produced and designed by Scatter Press LTD, drawing on more than 35 years of family experience in community publishing. Rachel’s background as editor of Keyworth News, a magazine founded in 1990 by her father, Peter Corbett of Keyprint, brings deep local roots and a proven understanding of what makes village life tick.

That legacy began just a few miles down the road in Keyworth, where Peter created a publication that kept neighbours connected and businesses thriving through challenging times. Today, The Rudd continues that same mission, strengthening ties, celebrating community spirit, and giving a voice to local people and organisations here in Ruddington.

Each month, The Rudd is printed in full colour and distributed free to homes, schools, care homes, and businesses across the parish, with a digital edition available online. It’s a space where stories are shared, achievements are celebrated, and village life comes to life on every page.

Rooted in heritage and built for the future, The Rudd proudly carries forward a tradition of local publishing that began just a village away!
